"This is the sleekest, sexiest movie musical to slither, shake, and
scintillate on-screen since 'Cabaret.'"       -- Joe Leydon, San Francisco Examiner. Read this review.
"'Chicago' is everything a musical is supposed to be, with good songs sung by
people who sing well, and with lots of sexy dances featuring women who are
gorgeous and men who don't get in the way."       -- Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle. Read this review.
Winner of six Academy Awards, including Best Picture!
Broadway's smash hit musical makes a successful transformation to the silver
screen, with well-known movie stars showcasing their little-known singing and
dancing talents. Enter a version of 1920s Chicago where murder and jazz are
both in fashion, and any girl can be an instant celebrity -- but be careful,
because fame and fortune fade fast when someone else is vying for the media's
attention.
Velma Kelly (Catherine Zeta-Jones) is the hottest jazz babe in town, until she
lands in jail after committing double murder in a jealous rage. Roxie Hart
(Renée Zellweger) cheats on her devoted husband Amos (John C. Reilly) with a
lover that promises he'll make her a star, but the fame she seeks comes only
after she kills him. Roxie, Velma, and five other murderesses compete for the
favors of warden 'Mama' Morton (Queen Latifah) and the narcissistic lawyer
Billy Flynn (Richard Gere).
Don't miss this opportunity to see Chicago on the big screen...it's the next
best thing to Broadway, and at 2% the price! When we give you the old
razzle-dazzle, you too may walk out singing, dancing, and all that jazz.
