Fletcher Reid (Jim Carrey) is a highly dishonest, and therefore highly
successful, attorney. When he misses his son Max's fifth birthday
party, Max has just one wish -- that his dad would stop lying for just
one day. That wish comes true: Fletcher becomes physically incapable
of speaking anything but the truth, no matter how rude, embarrassing,
or distructive to his career.
