The Invisible Man (1933) Brilliant British scientist Dr. Jack Griffin (Claude Rains) has made the ultimate sacrifice for his work developing the invisibility drug, monocaine, giving him undreamed-of power and unfortunate madness. He returns to the household of his old mentor to gain support for his discovery, but brings only jealousy, terror, and death. After a sequence of fantastic murders and escapes, our hero comes to the tragic realization that there are things man is not meant to know. Photographers John Fulton and John Mescall are redited with the excellent special effects which help to animate this suspenseful adaptation of H.G. Wells' novel.
