The Cold War has ended, but the Russian Mafia is up to no good. Aside
from dealing in black-market nuclear weapons, they now vow to paralyze
the world with a top-secret satellite weapon that they have
stolen. Only James Bond (Pierce Brosnan), with the help of a few
clever gadgets, can stop the terrorist plan.

DTS digital sound makes its debut at LSC! Fourteen-year-old Leo
Beiderman (Elijah Wood) joins his high-school astronomy club because
he wants to spend more time around a female classmate. But soon, a
photograph he takes through his telescope makes him co-discoverer of
Comet Wolf-Beiderman, which scientists determine is on a collision
course with Earth. NASA brings a former astronaut out of retirement
to command an international crew who undertake the mission of landing
on the comet's violently erupting surface and planting nuclear
charges, in hopes of either breaking up the comet or changing its
orbit.
