In this funny, sexy, and laidback crime caper, George Clooney plays
heist artist Jack Foley. After Foley is arrested for a bank robbery,
his partner breaks him out of prison, but the hapless duo ends up
kidnapping Federal Marshal Karen Sisco (Jennifer Lopez) during the
escape. While hidden in a car trunk, Foley and Sisco become
irresistibly attracted to each other. Foley and Bragg then head off on
their final "big hit," but Sisco gets assigned to the case. Should she
arrest him, let him get away, or just shoot him and get it all over
with? Based on a novel by Elmore Leonard, author of the novels behind
Jackie Brown and Get Shorty.

Hana-Bi (Fireworks) is a film of contradictions: a mix of artistic
beauty, explosive action, wrenching violence, and poignant
emotion. Detective Nishi (Takeshi Kitano), a cop with a violent streak
and few words, is troubled by a dying wife and a loan from the
Japanese Mafia. While visiting his wife in the hospital, Nishi's
partner-a high-school friend-is shot and paralyzed. Disillusioned and
unable to cope with these emotional burdens, Nishi leaves the police
force, steals a car, robs a bank, and departs with his wife for a
final farewell journey. Sponsored in part by the MIT Japan Program and
the MIT Foreign Language Department. In Japanese, with English
subtitles.

This retelling of the old Chinese folk tale follows the story of a
young maiden who learns that her weakened and lame father is to be
called to join the army to fight the invading Mongols. Knowing that he
would never survive the rigors of war, she decides to disguise herself
as a man and join in his place. Little does she know, her ancestors
are aware of this and order the Great Stone Dragon to find her and
bring her home. Through a series of mishaps, a tiny, disgraced dragon,
Mushu (voice of Eddie Murphy), ends up with the job. Instead of
dragging her back, Mushu decides that Mulan should have a chance to
fight and honor her family, and becomes an indispensable companion.
