The Faculty (1998)
When the burned-out faculty of a small town high school become suddenly
energized and unusually aggressive, the students' lives take a deadly 180
degree turn. School photographer (Elijah Wood) catches a glimpse of what is
really going on, and suddenly he must convince his peers to help him fight a
secret alien takeover of his school. Writer Kevin Williamson (Scream) provides
this film with a subtle plot full of unexpected turns and characters with
surprising intelligence and hidden talents.

owner (Meg Ryan) who is unknowingly romaced by her big chain rival (Tom Hanks)
via email. The movie has an excellent supporting cast including Parker Posie
and Greg Kinnear as Ryan's husband.
