A special sneak peek at the latest competition before it airs
on TLC.
Junkyard Wars pits teams against each other in a construction challenge that
would make even MacGuyver cringe. Teams are turned loose in a junkyard and
given instructions to build a particular item such as a windmill. The trick
is, that windmill has to work, and has to work better than the opposing
team's windmill. This is engineering at its finest! It's just what duct
tape was made for!
The NERDS, a local team featured in the most recent challenge, will be on hand
to answer any questions MIT students may have about the competition and how to
take part.
