When aspiring news-anchorman Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey) too vocally expresses his displeasure about the way the Big Guy is running things, God (Morgan Freeman) teaches him a lesson -- not with punishment, but with privilege. And with privilege, comes responsibility. This average joe is transformed as he is given the biggest job of all, complete with all the requisite supernatural powers. But is Bruce up to the task, or is he more interested in getting back at his enemies, housetraining his pet, and making his girlfriend (Jennifer Aniston) more voluptuous?

Carrey's comedic talents are used to their best effect yet in this hilarious, fantastic, and touching tale. It's not what you expect...it's charming, intelligent, and fun.
